Outreach

Here are some of our ongoing service and outreach projects, along with partner organizations.

Swaddling Clothes

Swaddling Clothes is a ministry dedicated to sharing the mercy of Christ by providing free maternity and baby essentials—such as clothing, diapers, and formula—to families in need. Through donation-based “shopping days,” personal support, and connections to additional services, it offers practical care alongside the comforting Word of God.
Messiah Lutheran Church in Keller loves and supports this ministry wholeheartedly—members regularly volunteer, donate, and help meet ongoing needs as the church stays actively aware of how to best serve local families. Messiah and Swaddling Clothes also work closely with Pregnancy Help 4 U to ensure women and families receive the care, resources, and encouragement they need during pregnancy and beyond.

Pregnancy Help 4 U

Pregnancy Help 4 U is a trusted local resource offering free hospital-grade pregnancy tests and compassionate support to women facing unexpected pregnancies. With 99% accuracy and immediate results, their tests help confirm pregnancy before any decisions are made. Clients meet one-on-one with a caring Advocate to explore all available options in a safe, judgment-free space—empowering women to make informed and confident choices for their future.
Messiah Lutheran Church and School value this partnership deeply and are grateful for the vital care Pregnancy Help 4 U provides to families in our community. Each year, the church and school team up for a “Baby Bottle Fundraiser” to help support the clinic’s ongoing mission and outreach.

Lutheran Braille Workers

The Messiah Lutheran Activity Center on Hwy. 377, just down the hill from the main building, houses our Braille Center, part of Lutheran Braille Workers.

With simple tools and the help of volunteers of nearly any age, the center prints Braille Bible books in multiple languages. These books are shipped worldwide to fulfill Lutheran Braille Workers’ mission: “to provide the message of salvation, through faith in Jesus Christ, to individuals who are blind or visually impaired throughout the world.”

Volunteers work as a team, using metal plates and presses to imprint Braille on both sides of the paper. Pages are then bound and packed for delivery. Our Braille Workshop has been printing Bibles since opening in spring 2010. Several workshops meet weekly, and newcomers are always welcome. Check the calendar for times, or contact [email protected] to learn more or schedule a tour.

Community Storehouse

Messiah supports the Christian Community Storehouse in Keller, which assists local families in need. Our school children bring canned goods as chapel offerings, and members often donate while shopping for their own families. Non-perishable donations can be left in the narthex basket.

Prison Fellowship Angel Tree

Each Christmas, Messiah provides gifts for about 80 local children whose parents are incarcerated. Each child receives one clothing item and one toy or game, purchased by Messiah members and school families, and given in the parent’s name. Many families also receive food, clothing, and an age-appropriate Bible storybook or devotional.
