This Latin phrase is a summary of what we, as Lutherans, believe and teach.
Grace alone...in His great mercy and love, God sent His Son, Jesus, to bear the sins of all people and to purchase forgiveness for the entire world. We are saved by grace alone.
Faith alone...all that Jesus won for the whole world becomes ours by faith alone. Through faith in Jesus Christ alone, we are counted righteous before God and become heirs of heaven.
Scripture alone...the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God, is the only authority and standard of judgment in the Church. All teachings are measured by His clear Word.
All that we do at Messiah is a reflection of these simple, yet profound, truths.
